Leap of Faith

Sydney, Australia...here we come!!  For those of you who don't know, Ronnie has accepted a job opportunity with his current company in their Sydney office for an 18 month assignment.  Major. Life. Changer.  Of course, I am 100% supportive of the idea and was always open to living abroad before we start growing our family.  Turns out, this opportunity could not have come at a more perfect time.

Long story short:  My one-year-old car was totaled 2 months ago and we were still in the market for a new one (yes, we still only have 1 car and Ronnie walks to work/bums rides off friends)...the offer we had put on our dream home was turned down a day before Ronnie received the job offer...our lease in Dallas is up just days before our assignment in oz land begins...and the only thing we truly have to our name right now is Ronnie's car that he has driven for oooo 8 years.  You could call that the "perfect storm" aka God's plan for us.

After the initial shock of "Oh my goodness, we could potentially live in Australia!?", came the "How are we going to live so far away from our family and friends?!" and "Will they understand..approve..accept?"
Ooo and lets not forget about my job as a nurse...details on that later.  Luckily, everyone has been very supportive and understanding.  It's bittersweet..sad that we are going to be so far away, but glad we are getting this experience together in such a beautiful country.  I appreciate the positivity and acceptance, but know this will be a sacrifice for those very close to us.

I will be posting a daily blog of life down under for our friends and family to see.  Don't expect riveting literature or profound theories on here...just everyday "stuff" that makes our journey unique.  The name of the blog is after our one year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Teddy.  Don't worry, I will be sharing lots of pics of him along our journey (unfortunate for some).  Life through Teddy's eyes isn't so bad after all...
We look forward to sharing this adventure with all of
you!!

Cheers!
Kels
