We loved Australia, especially Melbourne, so I hope you make it there. Adelaide, too, is lovely and is considered Austin's sister city. You must also drive the Great Ocean Road and see the '12 Apostles'. I hope a trip to New Zealand will be on your calendar some day, too. I can fill you in on where to go and what to do. The best thing about being there with work is getting to know the locals and finding out the 'hidden' places they enjoy. I love your blog, and WOW to your apartment's location and view.
